Our founder, a seasoned real estate flipper, early AI real estate founder, registered investment advisory founder, financial planner, and real estate broker and mortgage loan originator herself, made the bold decision to step away from the California Association of Realtors (CAR) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Why? Because they lost the biggest lawsuit in history and brokerages like hers are at risk of continuing to foot the bill on similar lawsuits that are currently working their way through the courts, if we continue to stay in the Association of Realtors.
The Breaking Point: Monumental Changes Ahead
Funny enough, August, 2025 - the same month Department of Real Estate issued the license for Lea to became the broker of her own new real estate brokerage, Wealth Partners Real Estate Company, the monumental changes from the biggest CAR and NAR lawsuit, biggest in all of real estate, ever, took affect for our local boards.
A Growing Movement: Industry Giants Leading the Charge
While Anywhere Realty, Remax, Homesmart and so many others have been toying with and beginning to join sales associates in becoming more mainstream about leaving the Assocation of Realtors; her fresh perspective that, with ongoing lawsuits, shifting policies, and increasing costs unfairly passed on to realtors and brokerages, the State and National Associations of Realtors is actually a liability. She became increasingly worried about the future of real estate, and knew there was no future at CAR and NAR from a financial perspective since there’s little way the organizations as they exist can pay these settlements working their way through the system.

As the successful trailblazer she is, our founder Lea Wiviott Boracchia chose a new path—one built on clarity, innovation, and freedom from unnecessary baggage. If we stay in Association of Realtors at a State or National level, we are all subject to unimaginable fees. She was warned but like you probably reading this, she was busy.
